‘Ask Me Anything’ was a concept built to Challenge the presumption of some young people presume that people like them don't work in creative industries. Opening their minds to real possibilities and something they can strive for has proven to be a pivotal moment for some students in re engaging them in education and their personal progression goals.
The event hosted at the boomsatsuma base in the Engine Shed in collaboration with Bristol WORKS and BBC Academy's Digital Cities Week - gave a chance to offer young people, aged 14 - 18, the opportunity to meet, network with and ask questions with professionals in the creative media sectors.
Set up as a speed networking event, young people meet a range of practitioners from an eclectic selection of of professional roles, each offering unique insights into their fields.
